On every lighting desk there is a Blackout button controlling all the lights, a override button, which when pressed brings an immediate stop to all lights.
A similar phenomenon happened when COVID 19 hit the big life Blackout button and reduced all the world´s live events to zero.
All the shows below didn´t happen. The blackout button is still pressed.
As we all know there are an unbeliveably huge number of concerts and shows which have been cancelled, postponed, or are simply not happening since the middle of March 2020.
Of course it is painfully visible for everyone who works in events and is very badly affected by this, but it is not very tangible for people who are not working in events. For them it is "only" a few shows they can't go to. One party they can't go to. Of course they are missing it but they can, literally, live without it. And It is just a number when the media speaks about the people who are affected by it.
To make this visible, to put a picture to those numbers, we are collecting photos from posters from concerts and shows which were advertised but didn't happen since the middle of March, and those which won't happen in the next few weeks, and next to them, photos of the closed venue doors where the shows would have happened.
